The death of actress Dora Doll, a familiar face of the large and small screen
The last film in which she appeared was "Jacquou le Croquant" Boutonnat Laurent (2007) and lovers of soap operas have seen in "Maigret", "Médecins de nuit" or more recently "L'instit" or "Cap de pins".

The actress Dora Doll, familiar figure of the small and large screen died Sunday night in the Gard at the age of 93.
The actress, who had fallen a few weeks ago, died shortly before midnight, in Saint-Gilles, where she lived with her only daughter. "Mom was beautiful but it was also an actress in wide register", said Danièle-Jullian Pellegrin, who was born of her union with actor Raymond Pellegrin.
Born in 1922 in Berlin, Dorothea Hermina Feinberg arrived very young, with her parents in Paris. She first appeared on film in the late 1930s, in films by Marc Allégret or Marcel Carne. Then she had several roles after the war, building a phenomenal filmography, led by the greatest directors.
The gym teacher in "Diabolo Menthe"
Accustomed to supporting roles (prostitute, coffee patron, Countess ...) she starred in some 150 feature films under the direction of Abel Gance, Julien Duvivier, Jean Renoir (French Cancan), Clouzot (Quai des Goldsmiths) but also, later, Henri Verneuil, Philippe de Broca, Bertrand Blier, Claude Chabrol. In "Diabolo Menthe" Diane Kurys (1977) as the gym teacher. She plays in 1958 in " le Bal des maudits", an American war film by Edward Dmytryk.
On television, she was seen in dozens of films and soap operas and drama, she made some twenty appearances.
Dora Doll's funeral will take place in Saint-Gilles Thursday at 4 p.m.hours.
